the first time i saw the make*up was my second time in dc. it was in april of 99, and i was looking for a place to move in the area, and went with my future roomates to this show with bratmobile. i did not like them at the time, but then saw them again at this show at the black cat and fell in love. i loved their music, stage presence and style. r.i.p.
