the first four shots are of the bangs, at the black cat in washington, dc, may 2000. it was a backstage show and i was pretty excited to go because i had seen them before at carnegie mellon university. (pictured below in november 1998) the show at carnegie was one of the funnest shows i had been to in awhile. i hadnt heard them before going to see them, which i usually dont like to shoot bands i havent heard, but im glad i got the chance to shoot them not once, but twice.
