they call her ms. difranco. this was the second time i had seen ani, in may 1999, at the a.j. palumbo center in pittsburgh. the show was alright, very theatrical but marked the first time i received a press pass to shoot at a show. i was actually escorted out of the venue while they watched me put my camera in my car because i "broke the rules" and shot after the first three songs. i actually shot almost two rolls at this show, which was a lot considering the short time frame i had to shoot them in. i still have yet to scan the rest, but these i really liked despite my usual gripes at out-of-focus shots.
